Husky Housekeeping

Brutal stretch continues
Coming off of a 3-0 week with big wins over Marquette, Cincinnati and Indiana, two big games await the Huskies this week in Hartford. Uconn will look to continue their strong play against the league's elite when Louisville (Monday) and Pittsburgh (Saturday) come to town.
The week past was not all greats news for Uconn (lets be honest though, it was the best week in about 2 years) and there is some updated information on a couple of news stories.
Wiggins and Dyson were apparently found Thursday night with alcohol (better than grass my original suspicion) in a car that Doug was driving with a suspended license. Since this is Doug's second stint in Calhoun's doghouse this year and since he was driving I suspect that he might get a lengthier suspension in what would likely be his last chance. I assume the Jerome will return, coming off the bench, this weekend against Pitt. Courant details
It also appears that Uconn and Nate Miles maybe just about done together. Last week the NCAA Clearinghouse negged Miles' application, although further paperwork was purportedly submitted, Calhoun signed a two-guard from Mississippi on Saturday (Uconn would be at the scholarship limit for the time being). Scottie Haralson a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who has been compared to ex-UConn bomber Rashad Anderson by those who’ve seen him play will enroll at Uconn next fall. If he is half as good as is Rashad then Uconn has scored a good one. Haralson was not recruited by big-time programs, he chose Uconn over Old Dominion, Penn State, Auburn, New Orleans and Nebraska.

Uconn could be ranked today in either the AP or Coaches' poll when they are released this afternoon, it would be the first time in 54 weeks (19 polls) that Connecticut would appear in the national rankings.

Another big win!!!!! A.J. Price is seriously the man. He's playing out of his mind. I'd love to have Dyson back for the Pitt game because we can't go forever playing 7 guys. Wiggins has been a nice surprise off the bench lately too, which makes his poor decision making that much more infuriating. Suspended license, what a dick. Dyson's just dumb for hanging out with him. That being said, I could see both being held out on Saturday and if that's the case the rubbery legs may catch up with us. Course, it could just be that Price never gets tired....
