Updates from Magnolia Lane
4/10/08
Friday morning:
The second round is underway and tournament leader, South African Trevor Immelman, is on the course. Tiger and Phil have put themselves in decent shape after day one -- only a few shots back.
American Brandt Snedeker and Englishman Justin Rose are one back of the lead. Fred Couples goes off around one o'clock, sitting at +4, he needs to stay within 10 shots of the lead (or move in the top 44 and ties) to make the cut for a Master's record 24th straight time.

Thursday afternoon:
Yesterday was the par 3 (won by the ever popular Rory Sabbatini) and highlighted by a pairing of the big 3 featuring some dance moves by Gary Player (you can kind of tell Jack is thinking -- you always got to be an ass Gary?)
Today, after the fog cleared a bit, play is underway. The King hit the honorary first ball, 50 years after the first of his four Masters victories.
The big boys are off in about an hour. You can't win the Grand Slam without winning here first, Tiger has put a lot of pressure on himself by talking about how attainable the slam is. Not the pressure has ever been a problem for him. Let the games begin.
