Like Sand through the Hour Glass

update 4/25
Sounds like Ater's visit could not have gone any better. The only problem may be is if he decides to visit UCLA who are jumping into the game a bit late. Rivals released rankings that have this kid as a top 15 recruit and is being sought by some big schools. The article below from the JI seems to imply that Uconn is close and that Thabeet is likely staying. We will know about Hasheem by Sunday evening, the deadline to enter the draft.
Decision Soon

whats up yall, just got back from Germany a few hours ago..good times. a nice 3 points for 1860 at home Thursday and on Saturday Sebastian (my six year old nephew) netted a nice goal as his Grunwald SV side was forced to settle for a hard fought draw on the road.

In my absence, it looks like things are falling into place in Storrs with regards to next years roster. Wiggins and Kelly are goners and that will create enough cap space (I mean roster space) for some more additions. Kemba Walker, Scotty Haralson and Charles Okwandu (7'1'' Nigerian verballed last week) will be three fresh faces for sure...I expect Ater Majok (pictured) to commit this week and that would have the Huskies fully stocked. Other possible departures include Beverly and Mandeldove -- and Thabeet to the NBA. "Inside" sources believe that Hasheem will be back for another season. Leaving Nate Miles without a home if there are no more departures, presumably meaning he cannot qualify at Uconn..
other thoughts upon my return
Thank the good Lord! Isiah is really gone -- fantastic!...NHL playoffs are taking shape and looks like the Rangers are ready for a nice run...Chase Utley will be the NL MVP for sure...Hammerin Hank (lil boss') has got to chill out...I say that Tiger's knee issues will make the US Open a bit more interesting, I had considered it a slam dunk for him...good luck to Doug and Curtis (I expect them to end up at the A-10 Umass level)...big week for Memphis assistants -- one goes to Umass and another up to fill Matt Brady's vacancy in Poughkeepsie...staying in the land of the delta blues, 2G Tyreke Evans (top 10 national 2008 recruit) and his brother Reg have ended one of the most self absorbed/media hungry recruitments in recent memory excepting an offer from Memphis last week...Louisville's departures will not be as massive as people had suspected or hoped for...
